L4YERCAKE, an exhibition of prints by Akintunde
Disu was presented at Didi Museum from the 6th to the 9th of November
2014. The prints are a visual narrative on the history of Lagos and
represent a journey into his method using mixed media, screen print,
acrylic paper and canvas.
Ermenegildo Zegna Lagos as part of its monthly 'Sundays At Zegna', co-hosted the closing event for the Layercake in collaboration with Laurent-Perrier Champagne. This initiative is aligned with the brand's commitment to investing in contemporary culture both globally and locally through its Zegn Art foundation.
Miniature prints from the Layercake exhibition were on display in the store and guests from the store made their way upstairs to Didi Museum. After appreciating the exhibition, guests strayed into the store to browse the collections. Some guests simply enjoyed the ambience and people watching from the best vantage point: the Laurent Perrier bars at the store front.
