UpdateCuba Gooding Jr's dad denies stealing $7K from charity concert

Oscar winner Cuba Gooding Jr's father has denied stealing from a charity concert as was previously reported.
Cuba Gooding Snr. says he did not abscond with the $7,000 to perform at charity concert but he was just holding onto the cash should in case the show was rescheduled.
We previously reported that the 70's soul singer was sued by Reginald Lewis, who claimed Gooding was paid to perform a benefit at a children's hospital in Maryland but the singer vanished with the money after the show got scrubbed.
Howeever, the veteran singer says he never ran away but him and Reginald agreed he should keep the $7K

Gooding - who sang the 70s hit "Everybody Plays the Fool" - claims they decided to do the concert at a later date, but there was "no time table" for when it would go down, reports TMZ.
Cuba Snr told the site, Lewis is only suing to get publicity not because he stole. He added that he'd be happy to perform in 2015.
